At Lafayette, some of the most impactful ideas start with students. These initiatives were created by students who saw an opportunity, followed their curiosity, and built something meaningful. Whether you’re looking to join an existing group or are ready to launch your own, the Dyer Center is here to help you take the lead.

Side-Hustle Community
For students building something on the side: whether it’s handmade goods, digital services, tutoring, or creative projects. The Side-Hustle Community connects student entrepreneurs with each other and offers support through meetups, mentoring and pop-up events.

Lafayette-Easton Alliance
LEA is a student-founded bridge between Lafayette College and the Easton community. Designed and led by Lafayette students, LEA works to strengthen the connection between the local business and non-profit community and the College.

LafQuill
LafQuill is Lafayette’s first student‑run business—a custom pen workshop born from creative curiosity and campus sustainability. Founded in 2022 LafQuill crafts bespoke pens using locally sourced wood from campus trees.
