The sign outside the Dyer Center says “Start Here,” and that’s exactly what we invite students to do. Whether you are launching a venture, creating a new campus initiative, or tackling a complex challenge, we help you take meaningful steps forward.

With alumni mentorship, funding opportunities, and hands-on support, we provide the guidance and resources to turn ideas into action. We also help you navigate and connect with other opportunities across campus, because creating change rarely happens alone. Inspired by the Lafayette spirit of Cur Non, we encourage students to ask “why not?” and take the leap.

Programs

Innovation and entrepreneurship take many forms at Lafayette, from summer programs and campus competitions to venture building and creative projects. Below are a range of opportunities where students can take initiative, test ideas, and learn through experience. Whether you are just beginning to explore or ready to dive in, these programs offer meaningful ways to get started.

SPOTLIGHT

Innovation Hour

Innovation Hour at the Dyer Center is an informal gathering where students, faculty, and staff can engage in open conversation about ideas, challenges, and opportunities. It offers a space to explore creative thinking, connect with others across disciplines, and consider new approaches to problem solving and innovation. Whether you are developing a project or simply interested in thinking differently, all are welcome.
